Davy Cartwright
is a softly spoken mellow acoustic singer/songwriter from Llantwit Major in the
Vale of Glamorgan. He was a bit of a late starter as a performer, ("I don’t
like to rush into things…") due to problems with nerves and confidence, finally
making his public debut in July 2003 as half of ‘Steinbeck’s Old Brown Boot’
with Barry blues ace Paul Duggan. He then played in another duo ‘Ivy Salad’

| Davy is a member and supporter of the Marine Consevation Society (UK reg'd charity no. 1004005); a committee member of Castle Folk Club, Barry (2nd Wed of every month at The Castle Hotel, Jewel Street, Barry); Founder of Llantwit Major's "3rd Monday Acoustic Club" (3rd Monday of every month at the Boverton Castle) |
| Davy is also a trustee of and mentor with Major Music, a local charity giving musical opportunity to young people. |
